Recipes: Editing

Editing

To edit a recipe, select the recipe and either double click on it or select "Edit Recipe" from the 'File' menu. A sheet will appear with four tabs, "Details", "Extended Details", "Ingredients" and "Directions" in which the details can be edited as you would the rest of Mac OS X.

To add an image, drag it into the image well. To remove the image, click the small blue (x) in the lower right hand corner of the image well. Once you have finished editing the recipe hit "Save". If you wish to ignore the changes press the "Cancel" button.

If you would like to mark recipes you have cooked, select the "Cooked" checkbox next to the "Cancel" button in the edit recipes sheet. A small purple tick will appear next to the recipe in the main table.

Scaling

Connoisseur allows you to scale a recipe to a desired multiple of servings. To scale a recipe, select "Edit Recipe" from the toolbar or 'File' menu. In the "Details" tab, drag the "Scale By" slider to the desired setting.

Note: When you scale a recipe, the recipe itself is not changed, only the interface you are presented with. If you wish to change the scaling to send to someone else, the ingredients and servings will need to be changed by hand.
